China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC), a subsidiary of a Fortune 500 company, is a global engineering contractor. Founded in the 1980s, CHEC has over 90 branches worldwide and works on projects in over 100 countries. Their expertise includes marine engineering, construction (roads, bridges, railways), and other infrastructure projects. They’ve been operating in Malaysia since 1993 and have a regional division overseeing Southeast Asia and the South Pacific.
Job Description:
Working Hour: Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm
1. Establish ISO 14001 and 45001 standard and requirements
2. Review existing company and regional project HSE management system
3. Assist to lead HSE regulatory compliance, advise project manager and HSE team to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements
4. Conduct HSE audit, project site inspection and support external audit
5. To collect all projects HSE data and records
6. Prepare monthly HSE record and report
7. Provide HSE education training and briefing for the employees
8. Monitor, analyze and share EHS Information to all projects
9. To conduct accident investigation and HIRAC
10. Assist to prepare relevant HSE documents for tendering new projects
11. Monitor Malaysia project CIDB green cards
12. Review ISO 14001, 45001 and company HSE management system ( Mandarin and English versions ) if any
13. Conduct all EHS accident investigation to assure corrective measures are completed on time and assist them with identification and addressing the root cause of the accident
14. Assist to prepare safety plan and environmental management plan to fulfil tender specification project requirements
15. Assist to prepare HSE performance report and data summary, and submission to the HQ
16. Assist to conduct monthly HSE data online reporting in the company’s database platform
17. To conduct monthly remote online and physical audit and inspection as according to HSE Audit Plan
18. To conduct safety training program or briefing for the management staffs and project HSE team
19. Update legal registered on the OHSA Act and regulations to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and 45001 standard and requirements.
20. Assist to collect HSE data from regional each project, summarize and submission to HQ on time.

Requirements:
1. Hold a Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Science, preferably in Occupational Safety & Health and/or Certificate of attendance in Safety & Health Officer from a DOSH recognized training institution
2. With minimum of 5 years’ experience in Environmental, Health and Safety Management and compliance.
3. At least possess relevant certified competency certificate endorsed by DOSH/NIOSH (Green Book)
4. In depth knowledge on implementation of HSE Management systems and Risk Management
